is breathtaking. Built on the edge of the cliff, the ancient Mayan city offers spectacular views of the shores of the turquoise Caribbean Sea. The city, which at the time of the conquistadors’ arrival, still functioned and enchanted with its power, until the eighteenth century. One of the greatest attractions of Yucatan You can’t miss it!

COBA

Biking through the tropical forest and searching for the ruins of an ancient city. We will visit the most important buildings of the city: Church, Temple, Playfield of Pelota, Observatory, top of the Great Pyramid – the highest in the Yucatan Peninsula, 42 m.

SCULPTURE

We will see installation titled Ven a la Luz (come into the light), made by artist Daniel Popper and is comprised of wood and rope formed into a female figure. Her torso is filled with lush green plants, which creates an archway for viewers to walk through.

 

MAYAN VILLAGE

Our visit in Mayan village will be remembered for a long time. We will meet with a shaman and learn the secrets of natural medicine. There will be time to integrate with the original Mayan people and time to buy crafts.

Warning:

• For safety reasons, we recommend wearing a headgear (eg a hat) and drinking a minimum of 2 liters of water a day to keep your body hydrated. It is recommended to drink coconut water.
• We ask people who want to climb to take appropriate sports shoes or sandals with the right soles. Entering the pyramid is at your own risk.
• Please, wear a hat and water the body. Please use biodegradable solar products and sunscreens or mosquito repellents to protect the reef. Apply cream at least 30 minutes before swimming. Kiin Sun, a trusted source of biodegradable sunscreen, is available from us for 15 EUR / USD. Mexican mosquito repellent works much better than the European insect repellent. “OFF Spray” for EUR 6 / USD is also available during the trip.
